 Santa Rosa The largest city in Sonoma County, Santa Rosa is an urban blend of art and culture, shopping, food, wine and recreation. Windsor North of Santa Rosa you will find historic downtown Windsor. It acquired its name in 1855 by early settler Hiram Lewis because it reminded him of the English countryside surrounding Windsor Castle.
